Meet Stacy

How did you come into a relationship with Christ?

I can’t remember a time when Jesus wasn’t my best friend. When I was 7 years old some asked me what day I accepted Christ. I had no answer. Feeling that was a day I should remember, I cried and cried thinking I might not actually be a Christian. Then I realized that if that were true, if I wasn’t ACTUALLY a Christian, I knew how to fix that! So I asked Jesus to come into my heart.

What do you do at FOF?

As Interim Worship Director there are so many behind the scenes details to coordinate. It includes everything from scheduling tech, vocals and musicians to rehearsals, training and service planning.  The nerd side of me loves putting all the puzzle pieces together. Watching everything come together on a Sunday morning is truly a miracle!

While the details set the stage for Worship all of that means nothing without Spiritual Development. Encouraging the teams to live a life of worship in our personal lives, reminding them that all of our hard work means nothing without His presence, building them up in the knowledge that God is using them, THAT is what I enjoy most of all!

Why do you do what you do?

Hmmm… it’s more like why do I get to do what I do! What a privilege! I get to incorporate the things I love most into one job! God, church, people, music, organization and thanks to Melinda in the Coffee Bar, food!!! Who wouldn’t want to do this?!?!?

At FOF since:

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.” – Psalms 27:4
