How did you come into a relationship with Christ?
I don’t remember a time that I didn’t have a relationship with God. I was raised going to church, hearing the stories of the Bible and trying to be a Christian. I have been involved throughout my life in different aspects of the church. On my journey, there have been times that my faith was broken and shattered, I was lost and have turned away from Christ. Many times that I asked God, “Why?” But, I know God is always with me, even when I’ve pushed him away. I feel very close to God when I am outside in nature no matter the season, walking the beach, sitting on a dock overlooking the lake, playing in the snow, the smell of a crisp fall morning, the spring flowers that bloom after a long winter, or wherever I am taking in this beautiful earth that was created for us. I take a quiet moment and thank God for all of my blessings.
What do you do at FOF?
As the Business Manager, I oversee the financial aspects of the church. I like to say that I pay the bills and keep the lights on. But, it is so much more than that. It’s accounting for the contributions, bills, budgeting, insurance, payroll, and completing the monthly financials for the Board of Directors. I also oversee the facilities and grounds, including the janitorial staff, the grass cutters and gardeners. I work with great staff and volunteers that help me do my job.
Why do you do what you do?
I like to serve using the talents that God gave me.
At FOF since:
In early 2015, we started church shopping. Fellowship of Faith was our first church to explore and we never left. Something just clicked when we walked through the doors.
On staff since:
I have worked in the accounting/auditing/insurance fields for 20 plus years holding many positions including supervisory and managerial positions. For the last several years, I have been helping with my husband, Bob’s, storage business and raising my teenage and soon to be teenage daughters. At Fellowship of Faith, I have volunteered as an Offering Counter, a Baker, and one of the Snack Ladies for Bible Boot Camp
